CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist for a client in the precision manufacturing industry located in Sparta, MI. This role is responsible for producing high-quality parts by setting up and operating lathe machines specifically Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes (Doosan with Fanuc controls), including running two machines simultaneously.

Interpret blueprints and technical documents to produce high-quality parts while ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Verify program suitability, select tooling, and perform basic programming adjustments as needed.

Assist on CNC mills when needed (training provided) and maintain quality standards to minimize scrap.

Maintain a safe, clean workspace and collaborate with the team to support continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma with 5+ years CNC lathe experience, familiar with Fanuc controls and G/M codes.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and process efficiency.

Familiarity and willingness to be trained on ERP systems.

Preferred: experience with CNC programming, milling exposure, and a team-oriented mindset.

Can efficiently multitask in the workplace.
