CDL Driver- Flatbed Class B

Job Description

Lafayette Glass Company is searching for a CDL Driver to handle deliveries to job sites in and around NYC. The ideal candidate will have experience in the architectural metal and glass industry. A valid CDL driver's license in good standing is required. Normal schedule is Monday-Friday, starting in our Hauppauge office between 4:00 am and 7:00 am, depending on deliveries. Occasional night and Saturday hours may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle daily job site deliveries and vendor pick-ups and drop-offs as needed

Maintain consistent communication with manager and Field to relay any issues/delays

Observe all traffic and parking regulations when operating LMG vehicle

Ensure vehicles are in good working condition, maintain weekly vehicle log, and report any issues to management

Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles

Assist with loading trucks and receiving materials in the Shop

Assist with fabrication, glass handling, and other Shop responsibilities as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience handling glass and metal required

Valid CDL Class A or B Driver’s License in good standing required

Flexibility in hours and days based on job schedules

Ability to work in a team environment

Experience in the Architectural Metal & Glass Industry a plus

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs required

Rate of pay from $25.00/hour
