CNC Machinist

Job Description

We’re looking for a qualified Machinist who will play a critical role in meeting the production needs of the company. Precision with machinery and efficiency with time is of utmost importance. The ability to stand for long periods of time as well as lift heavy objects is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation: Operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to produce precision metal parts.

2. Material Handling: Applying knowledge of the properties of various materials to the calibration of the machine.

3. Reading Blueprints: Accurate interpretation of blueprint specifications to understand the machining requirements of materials.

4. Tool Setup: Setting up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the machine in accordance with instructions and specifications.

5. Measurement and Inspection: Understand mathematical principles needed for precise usage of measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).

6. Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues with machinery, tools, or parts during the machining process.

7. Quality Assurance: Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and documenting pertinent data.

8. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
