Controls Engineering Technician

Our client, a respected and well-established manufacturing organization located in Hazleton, PA, is currently seeking a Controls Engineering Technician to join their team. 1st shift hours – 7 am – 3:30 pm. The role will be responsible for controls components and systems troubleshooting maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with various departments on control systems modification

Working with suppliers to support new equipment modifications and installation

Completing obsolete control components upgrades (PLCs, HMIs, etc.)

Accurately diagnosing chronic control system issues, establishing root cause, and determining corrective action

Assisting with new personnel and maintenance training

Effectively utilizing meters, electrical schematics, and oscilloscopes to diagnose problems

Skills/Competencies:

Associates degree

1-3 years industrial experience

Controls programming software of Microsoft Office proficiency

Basic electrical theory and principles of operations knowledge

Experience with three phase, single phase, and DC Power

NEC, NFPA-17E, standard wiring practices knowledge

Advanced Controller based software and hardware proficiency

Familiarity with production goals, quality requirements, and product specifications

Additional Details:

Salary: $28.00 - $38.00/hr

Employment Type: direct hire

1st shift hours – 7 am – 3:30 pm

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
