Job Title: SAS Developer Mainframe
Location: Burbank, California

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAS Developer with a strong background in Mainframe SAS programming The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of handson experience in developing maintaining and optimizing SAS programs in a mainframe environment You will work closely with data analysts business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver highquality data solutions and reporting systems
Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain SAS programs on Mainframe zOS platforms
Perform data extraction transformation and loading ETL using SAS from various mainframe data sources eg DB2 VSAM flat files
Optimize and troubleshoot existing SAS code for performance and accuracy
Collaborate with business analysts and data teams to understand requirements and deliver datadriven solutions
Develop and maintain batch jobs using JCL and integrate SAS programs into mainframe job streams
Ensure data quality integrity and compliance with organizational standards
Document technical specifications data flows and process logic
Participate in code reviews testing and deployment activities
Required Skills Qualifications
6 to 8 years of experience in SAS programming with a strong focus on Mainframe SAS
Proficiency in Base SAS SAS Macros and SAS SQL
Experience working with JCL Job Control Language and mainframe utilities
Strong understanding of mainframe file systems eg VSAM flat files
Familiarity with DB2 or other mainframe databases
Experience in performance tuning and debugging SAS programs
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
Strong communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAS Grid SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Studio
Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting tools
Exposure to AgileScrum methodologies
Experience in financial services healthcare or insurance domains is a plus
