Senior Paint Process Engineer

We are representing a West Michigan industry leading FORTUNE 500 automotive supplier actively seeking a several Paint Process Engineer due to a newly awarded business (Senior and Associate levels). Reporting to the Director of Paint Operations, this candidate will work at one the flagship North American campuses with 1,000+ employees and over $500M in annualized revenue. POSITION OVERVIEW

Senior Paint Process Engineer will be responsible to develop paint department personnel (robotic technicians, paint techs, etc.).

Ensures product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspection and continuous improvement problem solving activities.

Review paint control plan modifications.

Establish and track performance criteria for paint department activities.

Develop test procedures for paint procedures.

Seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities.

Participate in APQP planning activities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

3-5+ years of automotive paint process experience.

Extensive familiarity with (paint) robotics programming and maintenance.

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
