Job Summary:
Designs and develops test procedures for electronic assemblies like high-power amplifiers, power supplies, workstations, controllers, fiber optic interfaces, data acquisition systems, printers and computer networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in construction of experimental or prototype models to meet engineering requirements
Conducts tests or experiments to debug prototypes and circuits. Troubleshoots to correct malfunctions.
Records and evaluates data from tests and experiments and reports findings.
Assists in construction and tests complex analog and digital circuitry; identifies and corrects malfunctions.
Supports engineering staff in various complex projects to test and validate design and theoretical concepts.
Required Education and Experience
Experience in Power Electronics
Minimum BSEE with at least three years of test engineering experience that includes setting up of ATEs.
This hands-on position requires knowledge of analog and digital circuitry, interfacing software and hardware systems.
Reverse engineering concepts
Test fixture and design and building.
Requires strong technical skills in electronic hardware at both the system level and component level.
Computer networking skills are a must.
High-power RF experience and Visual Basic or C/C++ are a major plus.
Ability to work on a variety of projects across multiple technologies is required.
Candidate should be a self- starter and be able to complete projects independently.
Excellent communication skills are required to interface with customers
