Title: IT Governance & Risk Analyst

Locations: Charlotte, North Carolina or Raleigh, North Carolina or Atlanta, Georgia

Duration: 12-18 month contract

Environment: hybrid 4x/week onsite

Pay: $70-$77/hour W2

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Audit Specialist with a strong background in auditing enterprise-level banking clients. Candidates with prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm will be highly valued. This role involves conducting IT audit procedures, evaluating controls, and collaborating closely with banking clients to ensure the compliance, security, and integrity of their critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform IT audit procedures focused on banking institutions, assessing IT General Controls (ITGC) and application controls.

Evaluate Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks, including governance processes.

Assess security technologies such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), encryption methods, logging, and monitoring systems.

Review Data Center operations and controls.

Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning audits.

Develop and maintain centralized documentation including control mappings, gap logs, test scripts, and reference libraries.

Analyze audit findings and prepare clear, comprehensive reports.

Engage effectively with stakeholders to communicate audit results and recommendations.

Ensure adherence to information security best practices and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:

Proven experience auditing IT environments within large, enterprise-level banking organizations.

Strong knowledge of IAM, DLP, encryption technologies, logging/monitoring, and data center operations.

Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Proficient in testing IT General Controls and application controls.

Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to documentation and process detail.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.Prior experience at a Big 4 auditing firm is highly preferred.

Solid understanding of information and technology security principles.
