Job Description

Responsibilities/Duties:

Ensure the secure operation and upkeep of both physical and virtual network infrastructure.

Oversee the management of LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN services.

Configure and deploy new physical and virtual network appliances as needed.

Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change management records.

Support compliance efforts such as FedRAMP, RMF, and other security frameworks related to networking.

Execute project-level initiatives tied to IT infrastructure.

Provide expert guidance on networking-related initiatives.

Lead or contribute to training and mentorship efforts in support of network operations.

Perform additional operational tasks as assigned.

Experience and Core Competencies:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with network configuration and maintenance.

Deep understanding of network protocols and their applications.

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues effectively.

Possession of Cisco or other recognized professional network certifications.

Strong track record of collaborative teamwork to achieve goals.

Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Familiarity with regulated or compliance-driven operational environments is advantageous.

Active CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP certifications are a bonus.
