$130,000 – $170,000 base + strong bonus + excellent benefits

Our client — a leading design-build firm specializing in industrial and warehouse projects — is seeking a Conceptual Estimator to play a key role in their preconstruction team. This is a critical hire and a high-visibility position where you'll influence project direction from day one.

As a Conceptual Estimator, you’ll work upstream in the project lifecycle — before drawings are finalized — helping shape scope, budget, and delivery strategy for major industrial builds. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, design partners, and clients to turn rough ideas into real projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop accurate conceptual and schematic budgets using limited documentation and historical cost data

Lead the early budgeting process and provide cost options that align with project goals

Guide internal design and operations teams on scope, logistics, and feasibility

Serve as a key liaison with owners, architects, and engineers during the project development phase

Evaluate historical cost trends and market data to inform budget assumptions

Identify and mitigate risk during the earliest project phases

Ideal Candidate:

5+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience, with a strong background in conceptual estimating

Deep understanding of industrial/warehouse or manufacturing facility construction

Strong communicator comfortable interfacing with owners, designers, and executives

Proficient in estimating software, Excel, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Strategic mindset with the ability to balance big-picture goals and technical detail
