Summary
We’re seeking a mechanically inclined, hands-on Project Manager to lead large-scale robotic assembly line integration projects from kickoff through on-site buyoff. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role that combines technical project management with real-time problem-solving on the production floor. Ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and wants ownership from build through delivery.
Job Functions
Manage project build schedules to ensure on-time completion of automation and tooling projects
Proactively identify and solve issues during the build phase before they impact deadlines
Report delays and proposed countermeasures to the management team in a timely manner
Maintain a detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure materials are available ahead of need
Use hand and power tools to support integration builds, tooling adjustments, and modifications
Lead daily status meetings to align internal teams on progress and priorities
Serve as the main customer-facing point of contact throughout the full project lifecycle
Oversee equipment installation and bring-up at customer facilities
Ensure a smooth handover of systems in a fully production-ready state
Travel 20–35% to customer sites for installs and runoffs
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field preferred
Minimum 2 years of project management or related experience in a manufacturing/automation environment
Strong background in integration or new equipment install & bring-up settings (can offset formal education)
Prior experience with schedule-based project management tools (MS Project preferred)
Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia, or similar design tools
Highly mechanically inclined, with practical experience in fabrication, assembly line tooling, and adjustments
General knowledge of robotic systems and tooling equipment in manufacturing is a bonus
Spanish language skills are a plus
