Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 12 Months

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience in product design and development. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in SolidWorks and Creo, and a background in designing mechanical parts for consumer appliances, electronics, or the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for various products.

Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and Creo.

Perform feasibility studies, tolerance analysis, and design validation.

Work closely with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.

Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and DFM/DFA assessments.

Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.

Maintain design documentation and manage revisions in PLM systems.

Stay current with design and manufacturing best practices.

Requirements:

Proficient in SolidWorks and Creo.

Experience with plastic molding, sheet metal, and casting.

Solid understanding of GD&T and mechanical design principles.

Background in consumer products, electronics, or energy systems.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
