BC Excavating LTD, a leading civil construction and utilities contractor, is looking to hire 15 Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic field operations team. We are seeking motivated and safety-driven individuals with a passion for working outdoors and contributing to vital infrastructure projects across the Midwest.(Ohio,West Virginia,Indiana) Our Equipment Operators are key to the success of our sitework and utility operations, operating heavy equipment to complete grading, trenching, excavation, and site preparation tasks on industrial and civil construction projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, loaders, and compactors on civil and utility construction sites.

Perform grading, trenching, excavation, and site preparation activities according to project specifications.

Conduct pre-operation inspections and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Work independently or as part of a team to complete daily tasks and project goals.

Adapt to new equipment operating methods and techniques as needed.

Travel to various job sites with overnight stays (1-4 nights/week when required).

Maintain punctuality and professionalism on all job assignments.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operation experience required; 2+ years preferred.

Previous construction experience (1-2 years) is helpful.

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Valid Driver's License required; CDL Class A preferred or willingness to obtain.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (company-provided training available).

Strong work ethic with a positive and motivated attitude.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Willingness to travel throughout the year if Customers require.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and random screenings.

Knowledge of GPS systems preferred

Work Schedule:

Full-time Monday - Friday Overtime may be required

Work Location:

Various Midwest job sites; travel required with overnight stays(Hotels Furnished)as needed. Some Employees may be required to drive Company furnished trucks to sites and will be paid a drive time rate. Work is conducted on-site (in-person).
