Beds: 15 labs total shared between Cath Lab, EP, and Hybrid, but about 11 of those are strictly Cath Lab. Travelers will only be in Cath Lab

Patient Types:
This is a fast paced, high acuity Cath Lab. They do anywhere between 24-40 cases a day. Adults, no peds
Cath Lab: Diagnostic, interventional, RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, Cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, Impella; ECMO (preferred)
Peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases, some fistulograms as well
Hybrid (experience preferred but not required): grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, lots of TAVRs, Watchman

Required Certifications:
RN: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS (preferred)
RTR: BLS, ACLS, WI License; RCIS (preferred)
Skills required:
RN and RTR: Cath Lab and Peripheral cases listed above. Hybrid experience preferred but not required
RN: Conscious sedation, titrating/managing drips
RTR: Scrubbing, panning
Permanent staff will monitor cases
Support on the Unit:
Housekeeping will turn over rooms
Storeroom staff will manage supply room; Rooms stocked by night shift Cath Lab employees
Transporter during the day from 0630-2000
Receptionist/HUC: Yes, 0600-2000
Charge nurse/Lead Tech: yes, will try to stay out of cases
RT: 24/7, will manage vents if vented patients in lab
Hospitalist: 24/7
Cardiology in house 24/7
Critical Response Team will come for codes if needed

Scheduling:
Refer to job posting for hours - department is staffed 24/7
This lab staffs for 8 and 12 hour shifts, so travelers can do either shift or a combo of both.
Weekend rotation:
Sometimes travelers will be scheduled weekends, but it's usually just call
Weekday call time:
Shift will be 1200-2030 if it's their call day; call will be end of shift until the following morning at 0600
Will be on call from Friday-Friday (so 7 days of call) every 2-3 months. May not have to take call all of those 7 days though
30 minutes response time

Holiday Expectations: Typically travelers do not work holidays

H adheres to a "fatigue policy" where all staff, including travelers, cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12 hour shifts
