KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Wireless RF/Systems Engineer in Carlsbad, CA. (fully onsite)
Job Responsibilities
Participate in the design, development, and integration of wireless technologies into our products.
Perform chip-level radio tests, including RF performance and protocol behavior analysis.
Conduct wireless product-level testing in both controlled and real-world environments.
Collaborate with Hardware and FW teams to design, implement, and test key wireless networking features.
Create detailed test reports using MS Office, Jira, Confluence, and other tools.
Assist in the design and development of wireless test systems and fixtures. Mandatory qualifications:
BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of 802.11 WiFi radio performance and PHY-layer behavior (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
Experience designing and integrating 802.15 IoT radio circuits, including Bluetooth, Sub-GHz, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread, etc.
Ability to analyze system integration issues, including throughput, coexistence, current consumption, desense, etc.
Experience with RF/wireless test equipment, such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Vector Network Analyzers, Wireshark Protocol Analyzer, Current Analyzer, etc.
Ability to use common lab equipment, including soldering stations and microscopes to assemble prototypes and rework SMT components.
Experience with Python scripting, NI LabVIEW, and other test automation tools is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, either professional or academic.
Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Other Requirements:
