Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join us as an integral member of the Peraton Labs - Cyber Systems and Cyber Mission Sector team in support of Peraton Labs research at our customer site.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
Managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
Providing assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
Providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc
Providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Optimizing system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and five (5) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree (for a total of ten (10) years of experience)
Experience with Windows and Linux systems administration
Experience with automation via Python and/or Bash scripting
Active/Current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills required to work as part of an integrated team consisting of the customer, subcontractors, and other Peraton personnel
Solid understanding of modern computer network operations and capability development processes
Solid understanding of the basic principles of modern computer networking, including hardware, software, associated tools, protocols, and Internet architecture
Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships in all levels of the organization
Experience with operational mission partners in the DoD
Knowledge of Cloud technologies, such as OpenStack, Hadoop, and Cloudera
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services platforms and solutions

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
