Description:

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Lead with expertise. Deliver with precision. Drive innovation.

At MC Squared, we don't just analyze soil - we engineer the ground beneath complex infrastructure. We're looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who's equal parts technical expert, mentor, risk strategist, and trusted client advisor. This is your opportunity to shape projects that matter - and a team that delivers.

Compensation Transparency

Pay is based on experience, but don't let a range box you in. If you bring the right background and impact, we'll consider what it takes to bring you on board. Please submit your desired salary, even if it's outside the typical range.

What You'll Own

As a senior leader on our geotechnical team, you'll do more than check boxes - you'll lead from the trenches and the boardroom:

Be the safety role model. Lead by example, promote pre-task planning, and create a culture of vigilance and care.

Mentor and multiply. Grow technical talent and future leaders through training, coaching, and development.

Oversee all geotechnical projects - ensuring technical quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.

Review and approve complex analyses, reports, and lab data with a critical eye.

Lead proposal prep and client engagement, and make sure our relationships remain as solid as our foundations.

Manage risk across technical design, compliance, and delivery - from preliminary concepts to construction support.

Own design strategy for deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, dewatering systems, instrumentation, pavements, tunneling, dams, and more.

Bring forward-thinking, value-engineered solutions to the table - not just what's required, but what's smarter.

Provide geo-forensic insight when something doesn't go as planned - and help prevent future issues.

Champion quality. Set high expectations and hold the team to them with regular QA/QC reviews.

Be a key voice in growing MC Squared's consulting footprint across the Southeast and beyond. What You Bring

Master's in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred, but we care more about what you know and how you lead).
