Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in healthcare related field
3 of the most recent 5 years working in a leadership role in a healthcare setting
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
One of the following:
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and CSPDT*
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and CRCST*
*If hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) must have one of the following within 6 months of placement into position.
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field
Leadership experience in sterile processing setting
Responsibilities
Manages the overall operations of a sterile processing department in order to provide comprehensive, quality services which meets Infirmary Health’s (IH's) standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
