Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

To setup and maintain all Molding, Lining, Printing, and Vision Systems. This is a safety sensitive position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

MOLDING:

Setup process machines; maintain and improve quality, cavitation; document current process setups,

Maintain efficient cycle times.

Assist with mold and plate changes; identify proper tooling, crane operation and machine calibration.

Inspect and clean nozzle/barrel shut-offs; identify mold controller issues.

Participate in all training related to job function and safety training.

Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

LINING:

Setup punch and rotary machines.

Perform cut edge change on all punch/die machines.

Troubleshoot machines.

Troubleshoot minor issues with off-center liners, broken caps.

Adjust auxiliary equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

QUALITY:

Help ensure quality parts are being produced.

Technical support; Vision System and Printing.

Setup, troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to vision systems and train personnel.

Setup and troubleshoot printers and train personnel.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to train personnel on machines.

Assist Maintenance as needed.

Follow GMP guidelines.

Responsible for all Food Safety related policies and procedures.

Responsible for following all Safety related policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Backup: Off-shift Setup Technician

Utilizes IQMS software to complete tasks and logs accurate hours.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Computer literate, good communication and interpersonal skills.

EXPERIENCE:

Mechanical aptitude required.

Prior molding experience preferred.
