**This position will report to the VP of MW Region Services**
Position Summary
This is a stand-alone position who provides support to VPs, GMs, Managing Directors or multiple Directors. Exercises confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries. Receives, screens, and directs, visitors, mail, and e-mail. Maintains files, records, calendars, and diaries; typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision; serves in non-exempt capacity.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following
Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
May prepare responses to routine correspondence and inquiries
Receives, screens, and directs visitors, mail and e-mail
Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries
Typically arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and tracks expenses
Basic/Required Qualifications
High School/GED
10 years minimum required related experience
Desired Qualifications
Possesses effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborates effectively in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Ability to research independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines under tight timeframes
Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with all levels of organization – inside and outside of Duke Energy
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with integrity
Thorough knowledge of Duke Energy organization, policies, and procedures
Working Conditions
Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned Duke Energy facility.
Onsite work for consecutive days may be required in support of storm restoration, or other emergent work.
