Bar Hop is an innovative Happy Hour and Events app currently serving the Houston market, with plans to expand statewide and eventually nationwide. We aim to revolutionize how users discover and engage with local nightlife and events through a gamified, user-friendly platform.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced developer to join Bar Hop as a Lead Developer with a clear path to becoming the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is an opportunity to shape the technical future of a fast-growing startup while being a key member of the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and deployment of the Bar Hop app for both iOS and Android platforms.

Collaborate closely with the founder to strategize and implement technical solutions that align with business goals.

Build and manage a robust, scalable, and secure technology stack.

Oversee and optimize app performance, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to future team members as the company scales.

Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into the app.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience developing consumer-facing (C2B) or business-to-business (B2B) apps.

Proven track record of launching and managing successful mobile applications.

Strong expertise in programming languages and frameworks such as Flutter, Javascript, Dart, or similar.

Experience with backend technologies, cloud platforms, and API integrations.

A passion for startups and willingness to grow with the company into a CTO role.

Local to Houston, TX

Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

Preferred:

Previous experience in gamification or the hospitality industry.

Familiarity with scaling apps for multiple markets.
