Assistant Store Manager
Responsibilities:
Willingness to wear multiple hats and go above and beyond to assist customers, the Branch Manager, and the greater team
Ability to open and/or close the store in Burlington, Wisconsin as needed daily (M-F)
Engage with a wide variety of customers and resolve issues while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
Interface with the local outside sales representative to coordinate pricing, produce quotes, discuss lead times, etc.
Perform bookkeeping, shipping, and receiving duties daily
Organize, clean, and maintain the showroom and facility to ensure a pleasant experience for all customers and guests
Monitor and maintain accurate cylinder and hard goods inventory using cycle counts
Follow all SOP’s and safety requirements including proper personal protective equipment, compressed gas cylinder safety, forklift safety, etc.
Requirements:
3+ years of related work experience with verifiable success collaborating with customers, determining, and meeting their needs
Thorough knowledge of welding processes is a plus.
HS diploma or equivalent is required.
Technical or higher degree is preferred.
Ability to freely traverse company premises, lift and move products of varied sizes and weights using the appropriate support and lifting devices and safety procedures
Ability to learn and use computer software programs fast and accurately
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete paperwork
Ability to use a cash register and provide correct change
