Electrical Designer

Job Description

GEE Group is hiring an Electrical Designer with hands-on experience in panel design, schematics, and controller logic. If you’re someone who can own the layout, build the BOM, and keep things compliant—we want you.

What You’ll Do:

Design wiring schematics and panel layouts

Create BOMs, labels, and product descriptions

Select components based on electrical, mechanical, and dimensional specs

Interpret datasheets, manuals, and customer requirements

Support manufacturing with drawings and technical questions

Design simple brackets and fixtures

Develop basic PLC/temperature controller programs

Support sales and engineering with customer-facing technical issues

Assist with product compliance and certification efforts

What You Bring:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

3+ years working with electrical panels and wiring

Strong understanding of high-voltage circuits (single & three-phase)

Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings

Self-directed, team-focused, and solutions-driven

Preferred:

UL 508A training or certification

SolidWorks & SolidWorks Electrical

Microsoft Visio

Experience with PLCs and PID temperature controllers
