Summary

This position has functional and operational responsibility forInvasive Imaging. Provides clinical program development andimplementation, staff development and oversight. Promotes teamworkand good communication between management, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

(50%)* Oversees daily operations of the Invasive Imaging Department, withemphasis on independent problem solving. Develops and implements staff schedules to ensure optimal clinical outcomes. Hires, fires,disciplines (through corrective actions), evaluates (through jobperformance reviews and demonstration of clinical competencies) staff skills. Supervises staff and completes job performance reviews and is responsible for personnel management. AdministersKronos/payroll for staff.

(25%)* Produces and reports process improvement activity throughout thedepartment. Collects and evaluates pertinent clinical, financialand cultural data to facilitate implementation of surgicalprograms. Is aware and understands the department metrics and helpsfacilitate meeting metric goals consistently.

(15%)* Assists in setting up and monitoring continuity of care for allpatients. Provides input and direction to a variety of clinical staff to provide timely and accurate care to this patient group. (10%)* Serves as a clinical resource and ensures adequate training levels are maintained to cover staff schedule. Participates in recruitment efforts seeking qualified individuals to become part of a successful team. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs clinical functions as needed. Participates on appropriate teams. Conducts product reviews and ensures adequate inventory ismaintained. Facilitates new product requests from physicians, and follows our VAT (value analysis team) process. Makes recommendations and assists manager in budgetary managementand planning. Certifications and Licensures

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer

BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer

RN - Registered Nurse or Equivalent Experience

Required Education

Education: Associates Degree in nursing

Comments: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Management, or related clinical field preferred.
