About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year on our Columbus campus. This position offers a consistent part-time schedule (28 hours per week) and the opportunity to serve a diverse K-12 student population. Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation: Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-12 students, including the preparation of formal Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs).
IEP Development & Implementation: Developing, writing, and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) that align with student needs and state guidelines.
Direct Therapy: Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual, small group, and potentially classroom settings.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all services, including ETRs, IEPs, progress notes, and service logs.
Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with general and special education teachers, parents, school administrators, and other multidisciplinary team members.
Participation: Participating actively in IEP meetings, ETR meetings, and other relevant school team discussions.
Compliance: Ensuring all services and documentation adhere to Ohio Department of Education regulations, federal guidelines, and district policies.
Professional Growth: Staying current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is REQUIRED.
Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Ohio is REQUIRED.
Valid and active Ohio Teaching Certificate (Pupil Services or related area) is REQUIRED.
Experience working with K-12th grade student populations in a school setting.
Strong understanding of the Ohio IEP and ETR processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
