Position Summary

The Patient Access Coordinator Lead is an expert in product, process or service line area (physician appointment scheduling, OR/admission, full service scheduling; pre-registration and registration; insurance verification, and patient liability determination and communication). This position is responsible for providing consumers (clinical staff and patients) with accurate, up-to-date information regarding products, services and general procedures. Schedule return appointments and/or other appointments as assigned. Assures accurate appointment, demographic and insurance information is gathered to support clinical and financial needs including changes to insurance or other patient information. Provides support to physicians and consumer by coordinating their requests and satisfying their needs in one transaction. Solves routine and complex customer problems and knows where to direct customers to address specific questions. Communicates regularly with clinical staff, medical secretaries and staff within the product/service line to ensure customer and department staff needs are met. Always creates a positive first impression. Must be able to use a variety of software packages which include the Electronic Medical record, scheduling and registration systems, ABN, eligibility, document management software, and etc. Provide orientation for all new staff and student interns. Educate department standards, policies, and procedures and provide feedback as necessary.

This dual-site leadership role offers the chance to support patient care across a diverse range of services from therapy-driven rehab to specialized assistive technology solutions all while building team culture, improving workflows, and making a true impact. The shift hours would be a first shift start time Monday- Friday and no weekends.

The Assistive Technology Center (ATC) is a nationally recognized clinic where therapists collaborate with technology experts to connect patients with life-changing mobility and communication tools. As the PAC Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting a clinic that serves patients with complex conditions such as ALS, spinal cord injuries, and stroke. The AT Center conducts advanced evaluations for power wheelchairs, custom seating, driving, and speech devices offering tailored solutions that restore independence and significantly enhance quality of life. Outpatient Rehab (OPR) This is a multidiscipline site that includes Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, as well as Social Work and Rehab Psychology. This clinic provides essential physical and occupational therapy services that help patients regain strength, function, and independence. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring seamless front-end operations that uphold the clinic’s standard of world-class care, streamline patient access, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and IHIS proficiency

Desire to lead, mentor, and contribute to a clinic that truly changes lives

Qualified candidates must possess:

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team

Innovation in serving populations with high medical complexity

Flexibility and adaptability to shift priorities throughout the day

Experience with process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge of safety procedures, clinical care standards, documentation practices, and compliance requirements.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and assist in department-specific projects.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
