Opsource of Spartanburg has partnered with a local packing company located in Moore, SC.

Job Summary:

We are seeking packers who will tend machine/conveyor/table work that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, sealing, labeling, packing, assembling or wrapping containers by performing the following duties

Job Title: Packer

Location: Moore, SC

Job Type: Full-time

Hours are from 7am-5:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with some mandatory weekends if needed

Pay: $13.50/hr

Responsibilities:

•Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine

•If malfunction detected, stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor

•Inspects job order to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications

•Loads packaging material into trays or holders, or other feeding devices, and packs product

•Replenishes packaging supplies such as cards, blisters, or labels

•Positions packaging material and product in machine and depresses pedal, presses button, or moves lever to process the cycle

•Inspects job orders and follows work instructions

•Inspects product and materials while packing

•Assembles cartons and display materials; obtains and sorts product; labels cartons

•Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures

•Quality - Monitors own work to ensure quality •Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly

•Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly

•Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction

•The employee is frequently required to stand and sit

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts

•The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles

Requirements:

* Ability to stand for long periods

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Previous experience in packing is a plus, but not required
