As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions. This role combines strategic outreach, in-person engagement, and data-driven sales tactics to expand our customer base and strengthen existing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
Proactively identify and connect with potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking events, and referrals.
Client Engagement & Travel
Conduct in-person meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and coordinate product trials to foster relationships with new and existing customers.
Market Research & Targeting
Analyze market trends and customer profiles to develop strategic outreach plans tailored to ideal customer segments.
Sales Outreach & Communication
Initiate meaningful conversations with key decision-makers to understand their needs and present relevant product or service solutions.
CRM & Pipeline Management
Maintain up-to-date records of all client interactions, manage follow-ups, and track sales progress using CRM tools.
Multi-Channel Communication
Utilize a variety of outreach methods-including phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings-to maximize engagement and conversion.
Performance Analysis
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response rates, conversion metrics, and pipeline development to refine sales strategies.
Industry Events & Trade Shows
Represent the company at two or more industry trade shows annually, engaging with prospects, entertaining clients, and expanding your professional network.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role. Experience in flexible films, material science, or packaging is highly desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive outreach messages.
A self-starter with a positive attitude, comfortable with rejection, and motivated to exceed goals.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales automation tools, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high volume of outreach while staying organized and focused.
Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales KPIs and performance targets.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.
Understanding of flexible packaging materials and applications is a plus.
