Scope of Position
A leading technology solutions provider serving federal clients seeks a Vice President of FAA Accounts to oversee strategic growth and relationship development within a key federal agency focused on transportation and aviation. The ideal candidate will have extensive career experience within federal aviation agencies and a proven ability to foster and expand strategic relationships. This leader will be instrumental in aligning organizational capabilities with the evolving mission and priorities of aviation-focused federal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships across federal transportation and aviation agencies.
Lead strategic account planning, aligning with federal agency missions, funding priorities, and innovation goals.
Drive business development efforts, including opportunity identification, capture support, and proposal guidance.
Promote corporate technology and mission software solutions to meet evolving agency needs.
Collaborate across internal business units to deliver unified solutions and messaging to federal clients.
Represent the organization in key meetings, forums, and industry events to enhance positioning and visibility.
Coordinate with capture teams and business development professionals to shape and execute winning strategies.
Provide insights and thought leadership to influence customer missions and support long-term portfolio growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (technical or business field preferred); Master's degree a plus.
15+ years of experience supporting federal government programs, particularly in transportation or aviation sectors.
Deep knowledge of government customer environments, acquisition processes, and funding cycles.
Demonstrated success in strategic account management and developing executive-level relationships.
Strong understanding of software solutions, systems integration, and mission-critical technologies.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in large, matrixed organizations.
US Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain a federal security clearance.
Experience
Existing relationships within federal transportation and aviation agencies.
Familiarity with FAA missions, programs, and operations.
Experience with federal proposals and pricing strategy.
Industry leadership or presence within relevant aviation technology ecosystems.
Self-directed with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
