Key Responsibilities

Lead a dedicated team of core banking developers, ensuring project success and system reliability.

Oversee software development methodologies, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and rigorous testing practices.

Collaborate with executive leadership to advance technology initiatives and influence IT strategy.

Optimize core banking platforms, including Symitar/Episys, Jack Henry, Synergy, Synapsys, MeridianLink, Encompass, and IBM iSeries (AS/400).

Implement agile development and iterative project management methodologies.

Facilitate cross-functional collaborations with business units, IT teams, and external vendors.

Drive application modernization while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Monitor and enhance code quality, governance, and industry best practices.Qualifications

Must-Haves

6+ years of experience in financial institution technologies such as Core Banking, Loan Origination, CRM, and Digital Banking.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record in mentoring, coaching, and professional development.

Hands-on expertise in software engineering, version control (Git), and software testing practices.

Ability to influence executive leadership and drive strategic technology decisions.

Solid understanding of agile project management principles.Nice-To-Haves

Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Experience in core banking application development, particularly with Symitar/Episys, Jack Henry, PowerOn, etc.

Familiarity with IBM's AIX operating system.

Proficiency in RPG, SQL, XML, JavaScript, and UI/UX frameworks.
