The Associate Provost-Strategic Initiatives supports the provost and other senior leaders in Academic Affairs to advance university initiatives and operations, and will foster effective cooperation, coordination, and communication across multiple university divisions and functions.

The associate provost will cultivate, secure and maintain strategic educational partnerships with public and private sector organizations to drive enrollment growth and revenue, ensuring continuous budgetary and programmatic evaluation.

Key roles include facilitating new program development, leading the Center for Creative Leadership, stewarding new consortia and degree completion partnerships, and providing oversight for VA benefit administration.

The associate provost will be an active, effective liaison with the other divisions on campus and key stakeholders in the community.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support the provost; works with the provost team and other senior leaders within the division of Academic Affairs, and other vice presidents, deans, chairs and directors to advance university initiatives and operations * Cultivate relationships with public and private sector executives to drive enrollment growth and educational access through strategic educational partnerships.

* In collaboration with other university divisions, negotiate and operationalize strategic educational partnership opportunities that align with institutional goals, including workforce development initiatives, graduate and undergraduate enrollment initiatives, professional development and internship opportunities, and other mutually beneficial outcomes.

* Advise and work closely with internal teams, including admissions, marketing, academic affairs, student experience, finance and advancement to maximize partnership impact.

Project manages new partnership integration.

* Maintain current partnerships with a focus on building and maintaining long-term, multi-faceted relationships that advance Capital University's growth strategy.

* Partner with VP\/provost, academic divisions and departments, faculty governance and institutional research and accreditation to identify, evaluate, and support creation and launch of new academic programs.

* Lead the Center for Creative Leadership.

* Manage programs through the entire life cycle.

Work with faculty to develop new programs, collaborate with marketing and sales teams, work with partners to incorporate resources and programs, oversee admissions process, building operations\/delivery teams, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs both qualitatively and quantitatively.

* Create, steward and operationalize new consortia and degree completion pathways with educational partners, working in close collaboration with deans, chairs, University Registrar and other internal and external stakeholders.

* Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor initiatives, and emerging opportunities to inform partnership, consortia, and program development strategy.

* Represent the institution at conferences, industry events, and networking forums to enhance visibility and thought leadership.

* Provide oversight and support for VA benefit administration, working with VA SCOs and directors of financial aid, student accounts, University Registrar.

* Serve as a positive, active, effective liaison with the other divisions on campus.

* Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Doctorate in educational leadership, higher education administration, or related field.

* 8+ years of experience developing strategic educational partnerships and establishing professional development programs with demonstrated outcomes such as growth in enrollment or non-enrollment revenue.

* Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, and ability to enjoy and thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, collaborative and fast-paced environment.

* Ability to set priorities and coordinate ongoing activities in parallel, manage competing demands, and provide timely response to urgent issues.

* Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.

* Ability to work effectively with diverse external and internal stakeholders.

* High proficiency in technology including Canvas, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, and other systems needed to perform job functions.

Preferred: Proficiency in Colleague ERP and Slate CRM.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.

* Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

* Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.

* Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and\/or boards of directors.

* This position requires the ability and\/or skill to work closely and professionally with others as part of a team; be flexible; pay attention to detail; work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative; establish goals and priorities; perform advanced supervisory responsibilities; and contribute to Capital University's philosophy, strategic plan, and goals.

* Ability to travel to client sites and other off-site locations (motor vehicle license preferred). * Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
