District WideHermantown Community Schools ISD #700 is seeking candidates for a Director of Buildings and Grounds. The Buildings and Grounds Director is responsible for effectively planning and managing the district's buildings and grounds departments to ensure that security, safety, cleanliness and professionalism are maintained at all times. Effective planning and managing assumes that the Director will analyze personnel assignments, programs, and purchases. This position directly or indirectly supervises the District's Health and Safety program and all building and grounds personnel including janitorial, maintenance, grounds, and seasonal workers.
Requirements include:
Associates or Bachelor's degree. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the construction or building maintenance and two (2) years of lead/supervisory experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current first class or chief boilers' license or obtain within 1 year of hire.
Prefer licensing/certification/knowledge concerning, ADA, asbestos management, ergonomics, air quality, pest management, fire codes, building codes, playgrounds, chemical applications, boiler operation, snow removal, commercial construction management and other state or federal safety/health compliance issues.
Experience with digital control of HVAC systems or willingness to learn.
Ability to create and manage means and methods to meet the performance responsibilities identified in this job description.
Ability to assign and delegate responsibilities and tasks to accomplish the job performance responsibilities identified in this job description.
Possess good written, verbal communication and people skills.
Experience with various computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, web browsing, and word processing. Full job description is attached.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: $78,500-$82,500 annually based on education and experience
