Amvac Chemical Corporation is looking for a Chemical Packager to join our team. Must be able to work rotating shifts with a shift differential. Our manufacturing plant operates 24x7x365 in Axis, AL.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Prepare and package chemical products for shipment according to policies and procedures such as inspecting, prepping, labeling, filling, and stacking various size bags and boxes.
Operate and make adjustments to equipment to keep machinery moving smoothly
Adapt quickly to changing needs or operations to safely meet quality production needs
Inspect incoming materials and report deficiencies to the Supervisor
Identify and report plant conditions as necessary
Troubleshoot issues that arise at their station including warning messages on equipment
Maintain and make repairs to automated production equipment and resolve simple mechanical issues
Operate forklifts to move material safely
Safely operate and maintain Box washing equipment
Perform other mechanical or housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor or manager
Comply and ensure compliance with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements
Ensure compliance with all company policies, practices and lawful directives
Work Schedule: Day/Night rotating 8-hour shifts- schedule is subject to change in the future
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
0-6 months of experience in a labor role required (warehouse, construction, landscaping, etc.)
After proper training be able to perform all jobs tasks at any positions
Be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds
Must be clean shaven and be able to properly use a respirator
Comfortable with having blood drawn monthly blood due to the chemicals at the plant
Must be able to pass a drug screen, pre-employment physical and background check
Daily housekeeping performed inside and outside formulations
Participate in safety auditing program
Responsible for material handling
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma (or equivalency) required.
