Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director for Assessment & Research. - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of responsibilities:
Lead and assist in the development and administration of surveys, focus groups, and other data collection methods.
Analyze and disseminate assessment results across the Division of Student Affairs and, as needed, to other institutional areas through consultation.
Utilize departmental, divisional, and institutional datasets to create interactive dashboards and data visualizations that support strategic planning and reporting.
Design and support assessment projects and measurement tools that promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Serve as a liaison with student support units outside the Division to coordinate institution-wide assessment and evaluation activities.
Manage and maintain assessment databases, records, and related materials to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Assist the Director in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting findings from specific research studies.
Develop and facilitate staff workshops and training sessions to strengthen assessment literacy and support data-informed decision-making.
Participate actively in programmatic, departmental, divisional, and institutional strategic planning initiatives. Meet with staff at all levels to provide guidance throughout various stages of the assessment cycle.
Support divisional storytelling efforts through annual reports, grant writing, and other publications.
Maintain and regularly update the office’s website to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of assessment-related information.
Train and supervise student interns within the department.
Engage regularly in in-person meetings and consultations with staff, faculty, and campus partners to foster collaboration and support assessment initiatives.
Assist with divisional event staffing and coordination efforts as needed to support student engagement and departmental visibility.
Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.
Salary:$50,000-$60,000 per year.
