Shipper/Forklift Operator/Order Picker/Packer

Location: Otay Mesa, CAGeneral Description:

The Warehouse Person is responsible for daily tasks related to the receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of dairy and protein products including powdered milk, beef, pork, and chicken. This role supports compliance with national and international standards, ensuring proper rotation, labeling, and handling to maintain product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and verify incoming merchandise, ensuring product integrity, quality, and correct quantities.

Store goods in compliance with temperature and safety standards for perishable goods.

Label and mark items per export and marketing regulations.

Prepare orders and assist in loading outgoing shipments.

Perform inventory control and maintain accurate system records.

Collaborate with quality assurance and food safety teams to uphold standards.

Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment responsibly and safely.

Maintain strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.

Communicate in basic to intermediate English with transporters and international clients.

Participate in audits and physical inventory counts.

Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or Technical Degree in logistics, food, or foreign trade (preferred).

Experience:

Experience in warehouse operations, ideally in food or perishable goods export.

Forklift experience

Skills & Competencies:

Basic inventory management knowledge

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Flexibility and ability to follow procedures

Team-oriented with good communication abilities

Bilingual

Equipment:

Forklift operation license or certification (preferred)
