Location: Dallas, TX

Hours: Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pm

Pay Rate: $19-$21

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PEM & Stud Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating PEM insertion and stud welding machines to weld studs to various types of sheet metal and install fasteners according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, experience with metal fabrication, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Job Requirements:

Prior machining experience is a plus

Working knowledge of thread sizes (e.g., 8-32, 10-32)

Ability to read and interpret engineering prints

Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures

Familiarity with sheet metal gauges is a plus

Physically able to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

High School Diploma or GED required

2+ years of experience with PEMing and/or Stud welding preferred

Responsibilities:

Operate PEM insertion machines to press hardware into sheet metal

Operate stud welding equipment to weld studs onto metal components

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders

Perform quality checks using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools

Maintain and troubleshoot machinery as needed

Keep accurate production records and follow all safety guidelines

Ensure proper machine maintenance in accordance with the maintenance schedule and operator manual

Assist in tracking and maintaining stock levels of supplies and raw materials to ensure adequate inventory

Ensure that all products meet quality and aesthetic standards for made-to-order customer products

Perform measurements and inspections to ensure compliance with work orders, engineering prints, and specifications including flatness, parallelism, and dimensional tolerances

Complete non-conforming material reports for incoming materials that are defective or fail to meet required specifications

Perform all job duties in accordance with MCI policies and procedures

Collaborate closely with thewelding and press brake teams to ensure efficient production flow

Must be able to read schematics and follow work order flow

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Be an effective team player who contributes positively to team dynamics
