JAVA Lead Developer with Point of Sale / Retail industry

Infosys is seeking JAVA Lead Developer with Point of Sale / Retail industry. As a lead developer, you are an expert at contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in; you will define the problem, propose and refine the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability-building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Columbus, OH or be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology

At least 3 years of experience Java/Spring boot/ webservices is the key.

At least 2 years of experience on Point of Sale / Retail industry

Knowledge on payments system is an advantage

Ability to provide estimates and work with customer on new requirements

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge on Oracle DB with stored procedures coding.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with Support and Development processes

Experience working as Lead and driving teams of 5-10 members across time zones

Node JS and API development are good to have skills

Identify and integrate modern front-end best practices and mentor team

Proven experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments

Strong awareness of quality standards and NFRs

Experience in Azure cloud and deployments are nice to have

Experience in Retail domain and ecommerce is nice to have

Onsite/offshore coordination

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
