SUMMARY
The Concourse Group is seeking a highly organized SharePoint Developer in support of the high-visibility US Coast Guard Waterways Commerce Cutter (WCC) program. The new WCC vessels are complex, modern, and sophisticated; successfully building these vessels requires exceptional talent.
Ideal candidates bring experience strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage projects with Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, Power Automate, Primavera, and workflow automations. The ideal candidate will also have a background working for or with the USCG, DOD or DHS. The ideal candidate will architect, build, and maintain collaborative digital solutions using SharePoint Online in NMCI and classified environments, enabling modernization and operational readiness for naval platforms. A degree is not required but candidates MUST meet the work experience thresholds in a recent and relevant context.
LOCATION
Work location will be on-site full-time in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. Candidates who are not in the project area but willing and able to relocate MUST clearly state that on their resume.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform App Maker Associate, M365 Certified Developer Associate) and Power BI.
Exemplary organizational skills, workflow and process management skills.
Data management, visualization and analysis skills.
Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and functionality including ability to create dashboards, workflows and data organization in the SharePoint environment.
Ability to respond to shot-turnaround data calls and ad hoc reporting.
Knowledge of Primavera
POSSIBLE TASKS
Design, develop, and deploy SharePoint Online sites and Power Platform applications (Power BI dashboards, Power Automate workflows, Power Apps).
Lead SharePoint site migrations from legacy platforms (e.g., SharePoint 2010/2013) to SharePoint Online, including metadata tagging and user permissions design.
Develop role-based dashboards with Power BI for decision support and operational tracking across engineering and logistics workstreams.
Automate document workflows using Power Automate for routing, approvals, notifications, and data synchronization.
Create standardized reports and graphs on workflow status and process metrics. Provide data, input and editing to routine reports. These reports are routine in nature and the formats are established.
Data management support the administration, collection and submission of data calls. These data calls are routine in nature but generally require a very fast turnaround time for responses. Provide data for and assist in the preparation of lessons learned reports and briefs.
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 integrations, including Teams, Lists, and Project.
Implement CAC and MFA-based authentication controls, in alignment with NMCI and NIST 800-171 requirements.
Collaborate with PMO, ISSMs, and functional stakeholders to map requirements to technical deliverables under configuration and quality controls.
Support RMF and cybersecurity reviews for new SharePoint/Power Platform implementations.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for application troubleshooting, patching, and security compliance actions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and CDRL-compliant deliverables per contract terms.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4+ years of experience developing SharePoint solutions in SharePoint Online/M365 environment.
3+ years’ experience with Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard design).
Experience in performance metrics, analysis, and trends; workflow programming and maintenance in SharePoint, generation of Power BI reports and analysis of raw data for ship production contract deliverables and schedules.
Strong working knowledge of Power Automate and workflow optimization.
Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and iterative delivery methods.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, security-sensitive environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform App Maker Associate, M365 Certified Developer Associate).
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Familiarity with NMCI provisioning and the DoD RMF process.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting tools and integration.
Demonstrated experience supporting federal contracts, preferably within the DoD or NAVSEA/NAVAIR communities.
Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks, including STIGs and NIST SP 800-53.
