Now Hiring: IT Specialist Charleston, WV

Pay Range: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

United Talent Staffing is currently seeking a skilled IT Specialist for a reputable client in Charleston, WV. This is an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy professional to support a dynamic team of legal professionals and staff by maintaining, managing, and enhancing internal technology systems.

Job Summary:

As the IT Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering top-tier technical support, administering systems and networks, maintaining hardware/software, and ensuring data security and system performance. Your work will directly contribute to seamless business operations and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Office, Adobe, and M365 applications

Administer Windows and Linux systems including user accounts, servers, and patch management

Provide responsive helpdesk support and resolve technical issues

Configure and install hardware/software for new hires

Maintain and manage IT equipment inventory

Collaborate on internal IT policies and best practices

Monitor and maintain data security systems, ensuring compliance

Manage system backups and disaster recovery strategies

Provide support for document management systems and databases

Create and maintain PowerShell automation scripts

Support website maintenance and assist with digital marketing projects

Document IT processes and procedures

Assist with vendor management and technology initiatives

Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, M365, Windows/Linux admin, networking, and helpdesk functions

Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-oriented

Willing to work extended hours or weekends when needed

Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate

Experience with PowerShell, Active Directory, SQL database admin

Knowledge of patch management, endpoint support, and remote desktop tools

Familiarity with EDR/XDR solutions, Time Matters, PCLaw, Smart Advocate

VOIP systems (e.g., Cisco) and hyperconverged infrastructure knowledge

Background in website development or digital marketing

Vendor coordination and IT project management experience
