The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Newark, Delaware site - including metrics, client orders, site maintenance, safety protocols and providing leadership/mentoring for operational leadership.
The Operations Manager role will also work closely with the SVP/GM of Compound Management and the corporate shared service departments with support roles based in Newark, including Finance, Procurement, Information Technology & Software Development, and Human Resources.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day leadership that mirrors the vision and values of the Company.
Oversees operational departments heads (including Neats, Liquid Handling, Logistics and Client Services) and holds teams accountable to objectives.
Coordinates and schedules resources while planning and provides metrics and analysis of future needs
Facilities weekly operation leadership meetings regarding current and upcoming projects/cross department issues/etc.
Reviews department workflows and develops plans to accelerate and optimize the efficiency of department processes for continuous process improvement
Responsible for overall compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including Hazardous Goods Shipping.
Identifies areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the facility Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) program.
Ensuring the working areas are fully compliant with standards, including maintenance of fire extinguishers and eye wash and first aid stations are updated monthly.
Ensures all safety protocols within lab are followed
Handles coordination of facility maintenance and modifications with property management and vendors
Evaluates facility improvement needs and collaborates with corporate leadership to submit proposals
Maintain a clean and safe facility, including coordination of daily and weekly cleaning schedules, scheduling repairs, renovation projects, waste reduction improvements and safety inspections.
