Job Description

Support Technician (Robotics):

Field Technician is generally a mechanical or electrical engineer technician who is familiar with robotic work cells as well as working in a manufacturing or fulfillment center environment. They bring practical, hands-on skills to the support team. They have experience working on the hardware and software issues in robotic and automated equipment. Generally, the technician role will be used once the workcell safety system has matured to a phase where less engineering skills are needed.

Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, Mechatronics, and/other relevant field required with previous experience through internships, co-ops and/or clubs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Prior success in fast-paced environments demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills.

Facilitates the daily operation of the Alpha/ Beta level work cells

Onsite software, controls, and hardware support and coordination for product tests

Support setup and configuration of software and hardware systems

Collaborates with and supports remote hardware and software development teams, providing local coordination of activities as needed.

Assist with identification of hardware issues and software bugs; perform and/ or support root cause analysis, and installation of corrective actions

Perform planned daily, weekly, and monthly hardware preventative maintenance activities

Complete unplanned maintenance/ repairs as needed following prescribed instructions.

Install Hardware changes.

Provide documentation and updates as directed, including collecting data, data analysis, and creating reports

Coordination, collaboration, and relationship development with onsite parties to meet priorities and deadlines
