As a Sr. Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Maintenance, Engineering, Project, and Reliability Engineering, as well as ensuring equipment and systems operate reliably and efficiently. Your role will involve planning, implementing, and managing maintenance, engineering projects, and reliability programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Planning and Execution
Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
Oversee the efficient operation of utilities, including water, electricity, and HVAC systems.
Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks
Project Management
Lead maintenance projects related to equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
Conduct thorough inspections, audits, and assessments to verify adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Reliability Improvement
Identify and address equipment reliability issues to improve equipment uptime and reduce failures.
Implement reliability improvement programs, such as condition monitoring, root cause analysis, and failure analysis.
Develop and implement strategic objectives and budget for the team.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor maintenance and engineering teams, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Provide training and development opportunities for team members
Manage contractors and vendors to maintain plant site systems.
Other Responsibilities
Responsible for purchasing function for engineering, maintenance, and controls.
Investigate and eliminate mechanical or maintenance problems, which would affect manufacturing schedules.
Coordinate and guide employee involvement in team building, meetings, projects and company policies and procedures.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, project management, or reliability management.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering principles.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, automation ad equipment.
Knowledge of failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), RCM (reliability-centered maintenance)
Understanding of asset lifecycle management and predictive maintenance.
Preventative & predictive maintenance strategy development and execution.
Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting; ability to lead capital improvement and process optimization projects.
Six Sigma, 5s, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping.
