Qualifications
Currently enrolled in college and working toward a degree in academic disciplines such as Accounting, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Human Development, Public Administration, Public Relations, Urban Development or a related field. Currently enrolled students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and be in good standing with the college or university. Students who have graduated from college no more than six (6) months prior to placement in the student intern assignment are also eligible for the student internship.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of computers and applicable software, working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to operate office equipment such as printer, scanner, copier machine and multi-line phone system, as well as perform basic business office skills such as filing, typing and data entry
Must be able to prioritize and organize work and have the ability to multi-task
Ability to collaborate with Department Heads, officials, employees and other groups on work related assignments
Ability to work with others as a team member
Must be able to work with the public and provide information in a polite and efficient manner
Supplemental Information
The work is primarily performed in an office environment, but some positions may be performed in an outdoor environment.
