Unarmed Security Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and professional Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of residents, guests, and property at a residential apartment complex. The ideal candidate will provide a visible deterrent to crime, monitor premises, respond to incidents, and maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patrol the apartment complex, including buildings, parking areas, and common spaces, on foot / bicycle or by vehicle

Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or maintenance issues

Enforce community rules and regulations as directed by property management

Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly and professionally

Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports accurately and timely

Provide courteous assistance to residents, guests, and staff

Deter unauthorized access and ensure gates and entrances remain secure

Maintain communication with property management and/or dispatch as required

Observe and report any damage, theft, or disturbances on the property

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Must be at least 21

Valid security guard license or guard card

Previous security or customer service experience preferred

Excellent observational and communication skills

Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations

Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods

Professional appearance and demeanor

Reliable transportation and punctuality

Working Conditions:

Outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions

Night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be requiredCompany Description
