The Oracle HCM Cloud Software Engineer provides expertise in the support and maintenance of Oracle HCM Cloud modules. HCM and Payroll Techno-Functional Analyst capable of working in partnership with the business users to formulate recommendations for business process design, break-fix analysis, configuration updates, testing and enhancements to Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll Applications. The Software Engineer will help build the Next Gen Applications & Products Suite. Along with writing effective code, the position will be responsible for designing, building, configuring, delivering and maintaining a highly scalable set of applications. The incumbent will use industry best practices and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of product managers, UX designers, architects, principal engineers, software engineers, test automation team and DevOPS engineers.

Responsibilities

Performs as a key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases, existing system and operational problems

Software Engineer in this role is well versed and should have strong knowledge in Oracle HCM Cloud advanced tools such as OIC, OCI, HCM Extracts, HDL, PBL, BI Publisher, Application Security, Fast Formula, Page Composer, Page Configurator, REST APIs, SOAP, Webservices

Responsibilities include technology assistance and coordination with business teams, ensuring that all technical activities are aligned with the business goals and timelines

Actively participates in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software; this may often require independent research and study

Develops high-quality and production-ready software by using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks that are maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure

Writes highest quality code with utmost attention to scalability, security and performance and with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of production health

Produces complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for everything developed and maintains a team culture of documenting everything

Tests and ensures quality of all code that is developed in line with principles of test-driven development and continuous delivery, utilizing test automation frameworks wherever possible

Qualifications

2+ years of experience w/BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical field or equivalent work experience

Experience designing and developing secure application and products

Experience with developing, configuring and deploying technical components on Oracle HCM Cloud Application

Experience in product personalization, data integration, data conversion and reports development is required

Ability to identify key issues and details, and present understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals

Ability to create and maintain technical documentation to support the testing, installation, operations, deployment and maintenance of products

Proven ability to effectively present data to facilitate understanding of findings

Ability to solve complex problems using analytical and creative problem-solving skills for design, development and testing of systems

Strong knowledge of prevailing technology trends, design patterns and ability to apply those as needed

Ability to interpret and analyze technology heatmaps and subsequently develop plans to remediate hardware/software nearing End of Life/End of Support

Competent at adhering to organizational processes and procedures including but not limited to scrum and various design artifacts

Experience in BI Publisher reports development, Interface development and troubleshooting, Application security roles is needed

Knowledge of agile development methodologies

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.

Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
