Job Description
Job Summary: The Warehouse & Transportation associate is responsible for supporting our supply chain through a combination of warehouse operations and truck driving responsibilities. This dual-role position involves managing the receipt, organization, and dispatch of goods within the warehouse, as well as the safe and timely delivery of products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations
Receiving and verifying incoming shipments
Accurately picking and packing customer orders
Maintaining inventory levels and organization within the warehouse
Performing cycle counts and stock checks
Labeling and storing products appropriately
Identifying and reporting damaged goods
Inspecting tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition upon return from the job site.
Truck Driving
Loading and unloading cargo onto the delivery truck
Operating a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently, following all traffic regulations
Navigating routes to deliver goods to designated locations
Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining customer signatures
Inspecting vehicle for mechanical issues and reporting any problems
Maintaining proper vehicle logs and documentation
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
Flatbed truck experience preferred
Must have experience with a manual transmission
Experience in warehouse operations, including order picking and inventory management
Strong physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy packages
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and ability to meet delivery deadlines
Knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT regulations
Clear driving record
Work Environment:
Primarily in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying weather conditions while driving
Physical demands include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
May require working flexible hours including weekends and holidays depending on delivery schedules, or as "on call".
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years' experience preferred
