Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) has a rapidly growing industrial manufacturing client in Findlay Oh area that is looking 2nd and 3rd Shift Tool and Die makers. Salary range is 32-34hr depending on experience. Excellent Benefits.

Job Summary:

The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining progressive dies, transfer dies, and other tooling used in the metal stamping process. This role ensures that all dies operate efficiently and produce quality stamped metal parts in accordance with engineering specifications and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Die Maintenance & Repair

Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble dies and tooling to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Perform preventive maintenance on dies to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

Die Fabrication

Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to construct new stamping dies.

Operate manual and CNC machines (grinders, mills, lathes, EDM) to fabricate precision components.

Troubleshooting

Diagnose and troubleshoot die and tooling problems during production runs.

Make timely adjustments to correct form, fit, and function issues in dies.

Tooling Modifications

Modify existing dies to improve performance, extend tool life, or accommodate design changes.

Documentation & Records

Maintain detailed records of die maintenance, changes, and issues.

Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to document die modifications and improvements.

Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all plant safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Use PPE and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures when performing die work.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required;completion of a Tool & Die apprenticeship or journeyman certification preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of tool and die making experience in a metal stamping environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of progressive and transfer dies.

Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings.

Skilled in operating mills, lathes, surface grinders, and other precision machining equipment.

Familiarity with die-setting and press operation is a plus.

Other Skills:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and quality.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Standing, bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces as needed.

Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude required for precision work.
