Enter and maintain employee records (new hires, status changes, terminations).
Process changes in pay, promotions, transfers, and deductions (benefits, garnishments, etc.).
2. Time & Attendance Oversight:
Collect and audit timesheets to ensure accuracy.
Track overtime, PTO, and leave balances in compliance with company and legal policies.
3. Payroll Processing:
Calculate gross pay and withhold appropriate taxes and deductions (FICA, garnishments, benefits, etc.).
Ensure timely disbursement via direct deposit or checks.
Maintain accuracy across bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll cycles.
4. Compliance & Reporting:
Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll laws—particularly California-specific regulations.
File and remit payroll taxes on time.
Prepare reports, year-end forms (W-2s/1099s), and support audits as needed.
5. Communication & Issue Resolution:
Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing California payroll (required).
Strong knowledge of CA-specific compliance nuances and tax rules.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Manage and execute full-cycle payroll through early 2026.
Create detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and flowcharts for future ADP integration.
If you are detail-oriented, compliance-savvy, and ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a vital role and contribute meaningfully to process improvement and payroll excellence.
