POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Technology, the Enterprise Business Analyst bridges the functional needs of the Offices of Admission and Financial Aid with the Enterprise systems supported by the Enterprise Technology of Technology Services. This role supports recruitment efforts and lessening of financial barriers by collaborating with members of the Enterprise Technology team to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance technology solutions for the Office of Financial Aid, as well as key integrations between Admission and Financial Aid systems.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial Aid (40%)
Deliver application support, functional analysis, and solution design for the Office of Financial Aid using existing technology platforms. Responsibilities include gathering requirements for configuration changes and enhancements, collaborating with the Enterprise Technology team to analyze solutions, developing validation criteria, leading testing efforts, and documenting implemented solutions.
Serve as IT subject matter expert on Financial Aid business processes, evolving state and federal reporting requirements, and operational cycles.
Admission (30%)
Maintain accuracy and reliability of, and change requests for, several bi-directional integrations between the Admission recruitment system, Financial Aid applications, and the student information system, with programming provided by colleagues.
Serve as IT subject matter expert for student information system processes used by Admission operations staff.
Business Analyst Evolving Responsibilities (20%)
Provide analysis support for additional business areas of the College and assist with new projects as required.
Accounting and Business Services (10%)
Assist in troubleshooting Financial Aid processes related to student work-study and the posting of aid to student accounts.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must be able to explain and/or demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Specifically,

Proficiency in Excel features and functions for filtering, validating, and transforming data.
Skill in translating functional requirements into testing criteria to validate solutions.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of varying technical proficiency.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, often driven by external factors such as admission decision dates or federal requirements, while remaining flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, particularly in response to sudden federal changes affecting financial aid.
Ability to analyze data to detect and document subtle inconsistencies.
Adaptability to evolving technology, with a strong curiosity and willingness to learn.
Understanding of information security principles related to sensitive and confidential data.
Familiarity with introductory programming concepts, such as conditional logic and functions (not hands-on programming experience).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience as an advanced user (beyond data entry) of an integrated enterprise system, OR 1+ year as a business technology analyst.
2+ years of experience working in or providing support for a Financial Aid or Admission office.
OR a combination of relevant education, training, and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years as an advanced user or business analyst for an integrated enterprise system in higher education, preferably Ellucian Colleague.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Eligible for a hybrid work arrangement per College policy, up to 40% remote.
Designated as essential personnel, with occasional night or weekend work required for system emergencies.
