JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for overseeing and administering rehabilitation, infrastructure, construction and lead-hazard control projects primarily financed with federal funding.

Incumbent must be knowledgeable in construction standards and federal requirements such as Davis Bacon & related wage rules, procurement/bidding standards, historic restrictions, environmental review, lead-paint and asbestos.

This position requires a highly organized and personable individual that demonstrates great attention to detail and documentation; compassion and sensitivity to low-moderate income/disabled/minority individuals; and an ability to mediate between parties (contractors, tenants, property owners, etc.). They must also be adaptable, flexible, a critical thinker and team player.

The Project Manager, Housing and Community Development is also responsible for overseeing the administration, management, and implementation of selected Community Development division projects.

This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, managing budgets, overseeing construction projects, and collaborating with community stakeholders to promote housing and community development initiatives.

Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, is part of the UAW Professional Bargaining Unit and provides an excellent work life balance.

The position is grade 14, salary dependent upon experience.
